Hello Ladies and Gentlemen! My name is Kendra, and I began dancing at the young age of 6. Dancing has had such a positive impact on my life that I consider it a blessing to have the opportunity to continue to dance and enhance lives through the art of dance.
I have danced throughout my entire life, and began my career as a professional ballroom and latin dance instructor and choreographer after graduating from The University of Arkansas in 2001. Since then I have trained extensively with internationally renowned coaches and I have had the opportunity to compete and perform professionally with my dance partner, Duce, and hundreds of students nationwide. Most recently, Duce and I became a part of the talented team of instructors at Studio 22 in Dallas.
Once I saw the inspirational documentary Mad Hot Ballroom, I knew that I wanted to be a part of Dancing Classrooms. After attending the Colors of the Rainbow Finals in Arlington, I was eager to audition for DCNT and I was delighted to become a Teaching Artist in the Fall of 2013. Since then I have thoroughly enjoyed “Transforming Lives – One Step at a Time” with Dancing Classrooms of North Texas, and I look forward to enhancing many more young lives with the organization in the future.
